About Nelson
Nelson is an array-oriented programming language and numerical computing environment for engineering and scientific work. It provides an interpreter and high-level language for working with numerical data, along with structures such as cells, structs, and linear systems. The environment is designed to use modern numerical libraries and supports an open, modular model in which users can define data types and operations. This makes Nelson suitable for workflows that combine numerical calculation with custom data representations. It is both a language for writing computations and an interactive environment for running them. Its results depend on the algorithms, data, and operations supplied by the user; it is not a domain-specific analysis package for one scientific field.
