About NetSurf
NetSurf is an open-source web browser for several operating systems, including RISC OS, Linux and other Unix-like systems, and macOS. It uses its own layout and rendering engine, which is developed as part of the browser rather than relying on an external browser engine. The project describes NetSurf as small while supporting many web standards in use. Its role is ordinary web browsing across a range of platforms, with a compact implementation suited to systems where users may prefer a smaller browser. Web pages can still behave differently depending on the standards and features they use. NetSurf’s browser engine and supported platform builds determine how a particular site appears and functions.
