About Nextcloud News
Nextcloud News is an Android client for synchronizing feeds with the News app on a user’s Nextcloud server. It requires a running Nextcloud instance with the News service installed. Once connected, the app can synchronize subscriptions and articles for mobile reading. Articles can be cached for offline reading, including their images, and synchronization can run in the background. The app supports podcasts, Android Auto, a home-screen widget, customizable list views and fonts, and marking articles as read while scrolling. Light and dark themes are available. Nextcloud News is useful for people who already operate or use a compatible self-hosted news service and want to read its content on an Android device. The server is a required dependency; the app does not provide a standalone feed service. It is free and open source under AGPL version 3.
