About ngx
ngx reads nginx configuration and presents it in a form suited to either scripts or people. When its output is redirected or captured by another program, it emits JSON, a structured format that is straightforward for software to parse. When run in an interactive terminal, it instead produces readable text. This adaptive output lets the same command-line utility fit both automated workflows and direct inspection. Scripts and AI agents can consume structured configuration data, while administrators can review the configuration in a human-readable form. ngx reads and reports nginx configuration for review or further processing. It is useful when configuration needs to be inspected consistently across manual and automated tasks.
