About Notification Vault
Notification Vault is an Android app for keeping a searchable history of notifications and toast messages. It records notification text and media attachments, then indexes them so users can review earlier alerts. App rules and keyword filters can block selected apps or control which records are retained. A Quick Settings tile lets users turn notification recording on or off. The app encrypts stored notification text and attachments on the device using AES-256-GCM. Access can be protected with fingerprint, face unlock, or device credentials when the app pauses or resumes. Toast messages can be recorded using accessibility access, and notification images can be captured and previewed in the history. Statistics show logging trends and activity by hour. Encrypted backups can be exported and imported, with optional compression of media in a ZIP file. The app also supports scheduled or manual encrypted backups to a cloud provider chosen by the user. Notification Vault is described as having no internet permission for its core operation, no ads, and no tracking; cloud backup is an optional user-controlled transfer. Its design combines local encrypted storage with filtering, review, and backup tools for managing notification history.
