About occm
occm is a Mastodon client tailored to a particular Mastodon server. It integrates server-specific direct messages, including both individual and group conversations, and displays new messages without requiring a manual refresh. The client also renders avatars and custom emoji used by that server. A second specialized feature handles pending mentions, giving users a place to review and manage replies that are awaiting attention. These additions adapt the client to functions provided by its target server while retaining the role of a Mastodon app for following conversations. The available description does not outline a broader set of timeline, moderation, or account tools, so its documented strengths are the custom messaging and pending-mention integrations. It is suited to users of the server whose features are not fully represented by a generic Mastodon client.
