About Omnigit

Omnigit is a desktop Git client for working with repositories hosted on a range of services, including self-hosted instances. It provides common repository workflows through a graphical interface: checking working-tree status, reviewing unified diffs, staging and committing changes, browsing history, managing branches and tags, and fetching, pushing, and pulling. It can also complete merges, reverts, and cherry-picks that encounter conflicts within the application. The client supports multiple accounts and can connect to additional services through configuration. It includes the Git implementation it needs, so a separate Git installation is not required. When switching branches with uncommitted work, it asks how to handle those changes. Access tokens are stored in the system keyring rather than in the application’s settings file. These features make Omnigit a broad desktop workspace for routine repository work and conflict resolution.
