About OMP Switch
OMP Switch is a Windows desktop companion for managing model-provider settings in Oh My Pi. It edits configuration files while preserving YAML comments and unknown fields, and it checks file hashes before writing so external edits are not silently overwritten. A snapshot is taken before each change. API keys are not written directly into the configuration. They are encrypted using the Windows user’s DPAPI key and referenced by a command. If the configuration schema version is unknown, OMP Switch opens it read-only instead of attempting a migration. The application is intended for users who manage model providers through Oh My Pi and want a guarded way to edit settings. Its preservation and backup behavior helps protect existing configuration while making changes.
