About Open WebUI
Open WebUI is a desktop application for accessing an Open WebUI interface. It provides a native desktop window and can connect either to models running locally or to a server. This lets users chat with models through a desktop interface without having to set up Docker or use a terminal. The application is intended to make the web interface available as a desktop experience with a simpler launch path. It can work with local model execution or a server connection, depending on the user’s setup. Open WebUI Desktop brings these access options into a native application. The desktop window offers a dedicated place to start model conversations.
