About OpenAvisio
OpenAvisio is an Android companion for reaching a self-hosted medical-record vault. The app connects to an OpenAvisio instance operated by the user or their care team and provides a native interface protected by biometric locking. Medical records and documents remain on the server; the phone app stores only the server address and the app-lock preference. The companion app is in beta and may have rough edges. It is described as having no advertising, analytics, Google services, or push-notification integration. OpenAvisio requires access to a separately running server, so it serves as a mobile access point for an existing self-hosted record system rather than storing medical files itself.
