About OpenChordBook
OpenChordBook is an offline library for reading, writing, and organizing chord charts. Users can read charts without a connection and transpose them while keeping chord symbols visible alongside the music. New charts can be written using ordinary chord names, with a live preview as the text is edited. Charts support named sections, repeat bars, and different time signatures. Tunes can be organized in nested folders, and the app lets users choose where imported material should go. It can import HTML playlists and paste playlist links, then export individual charts, selected tunes, or a complete folder as a playlist file. Search helps locate a chart, while grouping can keep different versions of the same tune together. The reader can be resized and switched between day and night themes. Optional community playlists can be downloaded through a Discover view. Tunes are not bundled with the app, so users provide or download the material they want to read. The library remains on the device, with export available for keeping a separate copy. OpenChordBook focuses on chord-chart reading and editing; it does not include audio playback.
