About OpenCodex
OpenCodex provides browser-based access to a Codex Desktop installation running on another computer. A phone, tablet or second computer can connect to the target machine and operate the desktop application through a web interface, supporting continued work while away from that machine. It supports local and LAN access, as well as remote LAN connections through a VPN-style network. An optional access password can be configured to prevent unauthenticated access, and a launcher provides visual controls for settings such as the listening address, port and password. The interface includes optimizations for mobile devices. OpenCodex updates itself to match the locally installed Codex Desktop version on startup, helping maintain compatibility with that installation. It is a middleware layer for remote operation of the desktop application, not a standalone coding agent.
