About OpenDsc Local Configuration Manager
OpenDsc Local Configuration Manager is a cross-platform background service that continuously checks Desired State Configuration (DSC) settings. It can operate in Monitor mode to detect differences between the current system and the intended configuration, or in Remediate mode to apply corrections automatically. In pull mode, it retrieves configurations from a central server. The service also supports automatic updates, API-key rotation, and compliance reporting. These modes let administrators choose whether to observe configuration drift, correct it, or obtain configuration centrally, while the manager continues monitoring over time. OpenDsc Local Configuration Manager provides ongoing configuration management for systems using DSC across supported platforms.
