About openDSP-4x4
openDSP-4x4 controls a compatible 4-in/4-out digital signal processor from an Android phone or tablet. The device connects over USB-OTG, and the app reads its current settings after the user grants USB access. Users can adjust input and output routing, per-channel gain, mute and polarity, and a seven-band parametric equalizer with high- and low-pass crossovers. Compressor, gate, and output-delay controls are also included. The app can store and recall presets in the processor’s seven device slots, which can act as quick launch settings. Live input and output meters show signal activity, and the app reads the device state on connection. A desktop web version uses the same control protocol, while the Android interface communicates with the DSP through a native USB-host component. openDSP-4x4 requires a data-capable USB-OTG connection and the supported processor. It communicates with the device over USB and makes no network connections, analytics, or telemetry, according to its description. It is an independent compatibility project and is not an official product of the hardware manufacturer.
