About OpenSound
OpenSound is a lightweight audio player that opens a sound file shared from another app. When a file manager, email client, or another application offers the file to OpenSound, it plays the file and then closes. The player does not depend on Android’s media library, so a file can be opened even if it has not been indexed as part of the device’s music collection. OpenSound is intended for one-off playback of audio files from different locations, rather than browsing a music library or managing playlists. Its workflow is to open, play, and close. It accepts audio files handed off through Android’s sharing flow.
