About Opus 1 Music Player
Opus 1 Music Player is an Android player for locally stored classical music. Instead of organizing recordings only by artist and song title, it uses composer and grouping metadata to arrange works, such as symphonies, and their movements. Views include albums, composers, works, genres, performers, and folders, with filters that can combine information such as composer and genre. The player includes text search and playlists, and it avoids truncating long work, movement, or performer names. Album lists can display cover art, and playback supports gapless transitions where the Android device supports them. Metadata can also be sent over Bluetooth to a car radio. Six color themes and a scalable interface support different screen sizes and orientations. Opus 1 can use a database built by a compatible classical music scanner or the standard Android media database. It can open companion tools for scanning the library or editing tags. The app is intended for classical collections where composer, work, and movement structure matters to browsing and playback.
