About Pageless
Pageless is an Android audiobook player that connects to a Pageless server hosted by the user. The app can browse a library organized into books, series, collections, and playlists, and show book details such as metadata, chapters, bookmarks, and listening progress. Users can download audio and cover files for offline listening, then continue playback without a network connection. Playback runs in the background and includes notification and lock-screen controls, a mini-player, and a full Now Playing screen. Listening progress, bookmarks, and history synchronize back to the user’s server through a token-authenticated API. When multiple devices update the same information, the server uses a last-write-wins merge. Light, dark, and system themes are available. The app requires the user to run a server and enter its address during setup; it does not provide a hosted audiobook library. The described setup sends data to the configured server and does not use a third-party account. Pageless is designed for people who want a self-hosted audiobook collection with mobile playback and offline downloads.
