About Patch Pilot
Patch Pilot is an Android app for browsing and managing presets stored on compatible hardware synthesizers. Connected over USB, it can rename, copy, move, and delete presets directly from a phone or tablet, without requiring a computer or the instrument maker’s editor software. A demo mode lets users explore the preset browser without attaching an instrument. The app supports several Nord keyboards, the Behringer Pro-800, and Yamaha Motif XS instruments, with some models recognized but not yet confirmed on physical hardware. Connection uses USB directly or USB-MIDI where the instrument supports it. Other keyboards using a compatible protocol may work with a warning, and a diagnostic test can help check support. Patch Pilot has no account, ads, or internet permission and communicates only with the connected instrument. Preset operations can overwrite or delete data stored on the synthesizer, so they should be used carefully. The app is free software under GPL version 3 and is an independent, unofficial project.
