About Permission Pilot
Permission Pilot gives Android users a consolidated overview of app permissions. It can show all permissions requested by each app, including permissions listed in the system’s regular permission manager and special-access settings, or reverse the view to show every app that requests a particular permission. The app list includes system apps and work-profile apps, and permissions are grouped into categories such as contacts, microphone, and camera. Users can search, sort, and filter both apps and permissions. A summary dashboard organizes apps into categories such as privacy, security, and installation source, with each category linking to a filtered list. The manifest viewer provides a searchable, categorized view of raw app manifests, including which apps can discover other installed apps. Permission Watcher can check apps after updates and notify the user when a permission is added or changed, producing a report of the change. App and permission information can be exported in Markdown, CSV, or JSON. These features make it possible to review requested access, compare it with installed apps, and keep an external record of findings. Permission Pilot is an inspection and reporting tool; the supplied description does not say that it grants or revokes permissions on the user’s behalf. It is useful for people who want to see Android permission information in one place and monitor changes across app updates.
