About Phocid
Phocid is an offline music player with a familiar library interface and controls for adjusting playback. It handles metadata for tracks with multiple artists and can sort music more reliably when the library language differs from the phone’s system language. A regular-expression blocklist can exclude selected files or folders from the library. The player supports playback-speed and pitch adjustment, multiple lyric styles, and optional less-vibrant colors. Its Material 3 design provides a modern presentation while keeping the focus on local music. Phocid is intended as a customizable player for an on-device music collection rather than an online streaming service. The player is intended to work entirely offline.
