About Phosphor Cam
Phosphor Cam transforms the live camera view into stylized graphics in real time. It offers five visual modes: ASCII characters, dithering, halftone dots, block-like voxel art, and continuous line ribbons. Users can switch styles while the camera is running and adjust cell size, contrast, brightness, color, inversion, and foreground or background colors. ASCII mode includes several character sets and can retain tint from the original image. The app can show frame rate and rendering time while the effect is active. It supports both front and rear cameras, saves high-resolution still images, and records video of the processed output. ASCII art can also be copied to the clipboard as text, making that style available beyond an image or video capture. All processing is described as taking place on the device, without an account, server, or internet connection. The camera feed is not uploaded, and the app is described as ad-free and without trackers. Phosphor Cam is intended for creative camera effects and capture rather than conventional photo editing. The live preview, adjustable rendering controls, and capture options form a single workflow for experimenting with how a scene is redrawn.
