About PingYi
PingYi is a desktop tool for translating text found in a selected screen region. It captures the region, recognizes its text with OCR, and presents the translation in a compact result card. The application supports local OCR and translation, as well as optional connections to local language-model services or cloud translation providers using credentials supplied by the user. The default workflow keeps screenshots and recognized text on the device and does not retain a history. This makes the tool useful for translating text on screen while keeping the basic capture and processing workflow local. PingYi combines screen capture, text recognition, and translation into a short interaction without requiring users to manually copy the text into another application.
