About Pragha Music Player
Pragha is a lightweight music player for GNU/Linux. It organizes music using a library and current playlist, with views based on tags or folder structure. Users can search and filter the collection, queue songs, and manage playlists. The player supports M3U, PLS, XSPF, and WAX playlists. Pragha can play and edit tags for audio in formats including MP3, M4A, OGG, FLAC, ASF, WMA, and APE, depending on the codecs available. It can also play audio CDs and identify them through a disc information service. Playback can be controlled from the command line and through MPRIS, with desktop notifications for playback events. The application is designed to integrate with GTK-based desktops while remaining independent of a particular desktop environment. Its library, playlists, and playback controls support everyday listening and music organization.
