About Prayer mode
Prayer mode is an Android utility that automatically changes the phone’s Do Not Disturb state around Islamic prayer times. Users can configure silent periods for the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—so notifications are muted during selected periods without needing to remember to silence the phone manually. Individual settings are available for each prayer. Prayer-time calculations can be chosen from 23 methods, and the app can adjust times when the user travels. Settings also cover Friday prayer, Ramadan nights, and Eid prayers. Users can configure periods before or after the call to prayer for ablution or iqama, and an optional audio takbir can play before silence begins. Notifications can indicate when Do Not Disturb is activated or deactivated and provide daily prayer-time reminders. A Quick Settings tile gives direct access to the feature, and the interface includes light and dark themes. The app supports multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Indonesian, Turkish, and others. It is designed to automate a phone setting around a user’s prayer schedule while allowing the timing and duration to be adjusted for different prayers and occasions. Its description says that processing remains on the device and that it does not collect data.
