About Privacy Flip
Privacy Flip automatically changes selected device controls when the screen locks or unlocks. When the device is locked, it can disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, location, NFC, camera, and microphone; on unlock, it can restore chosen functions. Airplane mode and battery saver can also be enabled on lock. Users can set delays, exempt foreground apps, and choose smart modes that avoid disconnecting services that are active or in use. The app can detect some cases where another app re-enables NFC, such as during a payment, and optionally retry the configured privacy action. A background service monitors lock state, and a Quick Settings tile provides manual access. Camera and microphone controls are available on Android 12 and later; they take effect immediately because of Android limitations, and microphone handling can be configured to avoid interruption during a call. Several privilege methods are supported, including root, Shizuku, Sui, and Dhizuku. The available controls vary by method and Android version: for example, Dhizuku cannot switch Wi-Fi, mobile data, airplane mode, or battery saver, and camera, microphone, Bluetooth, location, and NFC support has version requirements. Android 7 or later is required. Privacy Flip is a device-control utility rather than a monitoring service. Its description says it has no network permission or telemetry and stores settings locally. A user chooses which radios and sensors should change with the lock state and which apps should be exempt.
