About Private Lock
Private Lock is an Android utility that locks the screen when the phone’s movement exceeds an acceleration threshold. It monitors the accelerometer in the background and triggers the screen lock if the threshold is crossed. This can be useful if someone picks up the device while it is in use or if it is dropped. The app’s approach is based on movement rather than a button press. When the sensor detects motion that meets the configured condition, the phone locks automatically. This may also reduce wear on the physical power button for users who often lock the screen manually. Private Lock is a narrowly focused tool for automatic screen locking. It does not need root access. The app may require special permissions to lock the screen, and it may need battery optimization settings adjusted if the operating system stops it from running in the background.
