Profile Explorer is a Windows application for viewing CPU profiling traces collected through Event Tracing for Windows. It presents the slowest parts of a profiled program in several views, including a hot-function list, flame graph, call tree, timeline, assembly view, and source view. These perspectives help developers move from an overall performance hotspot to the functions and code associated with it. The evidence lists support for systems with x64 and ARM64 processors. Its purpose is analyzing previously collected profiling data, not live process monitoring; the detail available depends on the trace and symbols supplied. Its views are built for examining the slowest parts of a profiled program.
