About puff
puff manages private configuration files used by development projects, such as environment files and credentials. It stores these files in a central location and creates symbolic links in project repositories so the projects can use them without keeping the private copies in each working tree. This can simplify setup on a new computer or when creating additional Git worktrees: the project can reconnect to its managed configuration through an initialization command. The evidence does not describe encryption, credential rotation, or access controls, so central storage should not be mistaken for a complete secrets-management system. Its focus is keeping private project configuration available alongside development work without placing it directly in the repository.
