About Quedalle

Quedalle is an Android home-screen launcher that replaces a conventional app grid with a simple, finite arrangement of tiles. It focuses on launching apps without widgets, elaborate animation, or extensive menus. App tiles display text and can be renamed. Spacer tiles add colored blank areas, while divider tiles create visual breaks between groups. The grid shows only the tiles that fit its configured space, giving the home screen a deliberately limited layout. Tiles can be reordered by dragging. Each tile can use one of twelve color presets, the app’s own color, or transparency. The launcher supports light and dark themes that follow the system, and an inline search that ignores differences in letter accents. Apps can be hidden from search results, and an optional swipe-down gesture opens the notification shade. Work-profile apps are supported. A layout can be exported to or imported from a JSON file, which makes it possible to preserve or move a customized arrangement. Quedalle does not require an account and requests no internet permission or notification access. The product description also says it has no ads, tracking, paid features, or cloud synchronization. It is open-source software under GPL-3.0. Quedalle suits someone who wants an intentionally spare launcher with a fixed tile grid, text labels, and basic organization rather than a dashboard of widgets. Its finite layout and limited tile types are central to the way it works: users arrange the apps they want to access and keep the rest out of the home screen.
