About Ramblr
Ramblr is an Android dictation tool that inserts spoken text into the field currently in focus. A floating button can be used over other apps: tap, speak, then tap again to place the result directly into the text field. Other ways to start include a voice-only keyboard, an accessibility button, holding a volume key, a Quick Settings tile, or selecting existing text for cleanup. Speech recognition and text cleanup can run on the device, allowing an offline workflow. Optional cloud models can be configured using the user’s own API keys, with a custom order for fallback providers. Cleanup styles include formal writing, casual text, notes and lists, email, and concise wording; users can define their own style and add vocabulary such as project names to avoid mistranscription. Cleanup can remove filler words and self-corrections while retaining the intended meaning. The floating overlay uses Android’s Accessibility Service only to insert text into the focused field after the user taps it. It does not replace a full keyboard or run background automation. The voice keyboard has no letter, number, or symbol rows, and selected-text cleanup and the voice keyboard can work with accessibility access off. Ramblr makes no network connection on its own. Local speech or cleanup models are downloaded only when requested; cloud transcription and cleanup are off by default and connect directly to the provider selected by the user. The app has no analytics, tracking, crash reports, or ads. Users can use local speech and local cleanup to keep all processing on the device.
