About RandPass
RandPass generates random passwords or passphrases from random words. Users can choose which character groups to include, provide a custom character set, and control password formatting. Options include checking uniqueness, excluding visually similar characters, and using word lists such as Diceware or EFF lists, with support for a custom list file. The application can also run from the command line for unattended password generation, making it suitable for scripts or repeatable setup tasks. Character and word-based modes give users a choice between compact passwords and passphrases that may be easier to read or enter. RandPass focuses on generating values; it does not manage or store accounts or credentials. The strength of a generated password depends on the selected length and character options.
