About Rank-My-Favs
Rank-My-Favs helps users create ordered lists of favorite things through pairwise comparisons. Instead of trying to rank a long list all at once, the app presents two items at a time and asks which one the user prefers. After a number of these head-to-head choices, it uses the results to produce a ranked list. This approach can be applied to collections such as films, books, recipes, or music albums. The app can order items using either win rate or the Glicko rating system, a method for estimating relative strength from comparison results. The comparison process lets users focus on a small decision at a time, which can make ranking a large collection easier than assigning every item a position manually. Rank-My-Favs is intended for personal preference lists rather than objective ratings. The final order reflects the user’s pairwise choices and the selected sorting method.
