About Rclone UI
Rclone UI is a cross-platform graphical interface for managing rclone remotes and transfer tasks. It works with an existing rclone installation or can install the command-line tool, and can keep it updated with the user’s approval. The interface provides a file browser and supports operations such as synchronization, copying, moving, deleting, purging, serving, and mounting files across configured remote storage systems. Users can set default flags for each remote and operation, then customize those parameters for an individual job. Embedded documentation explains available flags within the interface. Rclone UI also supports proxy configuration, scheduled tasks, and job logs for reviewing background operations. Autostart and mount-on-start options can run selected tasks when the application starts, while tray-menu controls can hide remotes or commands from quick access. The application can import and export configuration, encrypting the configuration with a password or command. Users can also set a password for the settings panel. Rclone UI acts as a management layer over rclone rather than a separate storage service; the remotes, protocols, and operations available depend on the underlying tool and its configuration. It supports Windows, Linux, and macOS, including ARM variants.
