About ReGeX
ReGeX is an Android puzzle game for writing regular expressions. Each task presents strings that a Perl-style expression must match or reject, and the player enters a pattern that satisfies the task’s conditions. When the entered expression fits, it is submitted automatically and a new task is generated. The game offers three configurable modes that generate tasks with different limits on expression length and different success conditions. This lets players practice within chosen constraints rather than solving every puzzle under the same rules. The app can also notify players when they move up a level. ReGeX is intended for people learning or practicing regular-expression syntax through short challenges. The automatic checking gives immediate feedback by advancing when the pattern meets the task’s requirements, while the configurable modes provide different styles of puzzle.
