About Remember My Sort
Remember My Sort is an Android module that preserves the sort order used in the system file picker. The standard picker may reset sorting when the user opens another folder; this module lets a sort choice persist across directories and sessions. A tap on a sort option sets the global default for the picker. A long press saves a preference for the current folder, and per-folder settings take priority over the global choice. This allows users to keep files arranged differently in specific directories while retaining a general sort rule elsewhere. The module works with supported Android DocumentsUI file pickers, including the versions used on Pixel devices and AOSP. It requires Android 11 or newer, the LSPosed framework, and root access. It is therefore intended for users who have already configured a rooted device with the required framework, not for a standard unmodified Android installation. Remember My Sort is useful for people who frequently choose files from different folders and want the picker to remember how each location should be sorted. Its behavior is limited to supported file-picker packages and depends on the framework being active.
