About Remote Desktop Viewer

Remote Desktop Viewer connects to computers and displays their remote desktops. It supports desktops running Windows, macOS, or Linux and uses VNC, RDP, and SPICE protocols. It can also connect to SSH servers. These protocol options let the viewer work with different kinds of remote systems and connection setups through one application. The viewer is useful when a user needs to access a desktop on another machine, whether to work with applications there or to inspect its screen remotely. The remote computer must expose a compatible service for the chosen protocol. SSH connections provide access to remote servers through a secure shell session rather than a graphical desktop.
