About remotefs
remotefs provides a browser-based file manager and JSON API for working with local folders, network shares, and optional cloud storage. It supports SMB and NFS locations and can connect additional cloud sources through a separate storage tool. Users can copy files between connections, upload content, edit text, save locations, scan the network, and download staged multipart ZIP archives. It can also mount a configured connection as a drive letter that reconnects after sign-in or restart. Drive-letter mounting depends on an additional filesystem component on Windows. The product exposes files through a browser interface, so access controls and network configuration matter for the folders and shares it manages.
