About Renode

Renode is an open-source development framework for simulating embedded and IoT systems. It can model processors, peripherals, sensors, environments, and the wired or wireless communication between multiple nodes. Developers can run, debug, and test unmodified embedded software on a PC, from individual system-on-chip designs to complete multi-node devices. The framework is useful for testing software before or alongside access to physical hardware. By simulating device components and their connections, teams can reproduce system interactions and scale tests across multiple nodes. Renode supports embedded development, debugging, and validation through a configurable hardware simulation environment. This makes it possible to test unmodified embedded software against simulated components.
