About Reor

Reor is a local AI note-taking and personal knowledge-management application. It stores notes on the user’s computer and presents them in a Markdown editor. As notes are written, the application can connect related ideas automatically, provide semantic search, answer questions across the note collection, and generate AI flashcards. Notes are divided into sections and represented in an internal vector index, allowing similarity search and retrieval-augmented answers based on the user’s own writing. Reor is designed to run language and embedding models locally by default, keeping the knowledge base and its analysis on the device. It is intended for people who want an AI-assisted note system that can surface connections across their existing material.
