About Rubber Ring
Rubber Ring is an Android audio looper for practicing sections of a song. Users import an audio file, mark a start and end region on its waveform, and play the selection repeatedly in a seamless loop. The app copies imported files into its private storage so loops remain available if the original file is moved or deleted. A tempo estimator can find BPM and a downbeat, placing loop handles on a beat grid. The grid can be edited manually. Chord detection can label chords over the waveform, and users can relabel, split, or merge entries; the chord lane can also be turned off. Audio can be normalized by peak or loudness, and playback speed can be changed without shifting pitch. A count-in can start playback after a metronome cue. Named loops can be saved for each track and arranged into practice sequences, with a repeat count for each section. A loop can be exported as a WAV file at the current speed. Full library backup and restore are supported, and the app can open audio shared from other apps. It has English and German interfaces and supports German note names. Rubber Ring works offline and has no ads, trackers, or network access. The app is described as an early-stage release, and its chord detection may require manual correction.
