About rudbman
rudbman is a desktop database workbench that connects to databases through JDBC drivers. Each connection has its own workspace with a schema explorer for catalogs, schemas, tables, views, sequences, and routines. It also provides a SQL editor with dialect-aware highlighting and statement controls, plus a virtualized results grid designed to handle very large result sets without loading every row into memory at once. The workbench includes automatically laid-out ER diagrams, a visual query builder that produces SQL from selected tables and columns, and schema backup to a replayable SQL script. Connections can use SSH tunnels, and credentials are stored in the Windows credential store. The application includes its own Java runtime, so a separate JDK is not required. Database access depends on having a compatible JDBC driver. rudbman is intended for developers and database users who need schema browsing, query work, visualization, and backup in one desktop tool.
