About ryl
ryl is a YAML linter that checks YAML documents for formatting and rule violations. It implements the rule set used by a familiar YAML linting tool and adds further rules of its own. Its configuration is TOML-first, and it can automatically fix supported issues or show a unified-diff preview before changes are applied. ryl can also lint YAML embedded in Markdown and produce output for different development and continuous-integration systems. These features make it useful for checking configuration files and structured text in a repeatable workflow. The command-line tool is written in Rust and supports both direct correction and review of proposed changes.
