About Sandboxie
Sandboxie runs applications inside an isolated environment on Windows. The sandbox separates an application’s activity from the regular system environment, allowing programs to be tested without permanently changing local or mapped drives. This isolation can be useful when checking unfamiliar software or browsing the web in a controlled environment. Users can run or install an application inside the sandbox and keep its changes separated from the normal Windows setup. Sandboxie supports 32-bit and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. Its central purpose is application isolation for testing and contained use, giving users a separate environment in which to run programs. Users can use it as a separate place to launch software whose changes they want to keep isolated from the normal environment.
