About SaverTuner
SaverTuner exposes profiles for Android’s built-in battery saver, letting users choose how aggressively the system applies power-saving settings. A profile can range from modest changes intended to preserve performance to stronger restrictions aimed at extending battery life. Profiles can be saved and restored, and the app provides improved settings tiles for switching configurations. Available controls cover a range of system behavior, including data saver, screen brightness, animations, vibration, background data checks, app standby, sensor use, location access restrictions, and whether the device enters deep sleep when the screen turns off. The app also supports Android’s built-in web firewall, deferring backups, launch boost, and keeping low-power mode active after the device is unplugged. Which settings are available depends on the Android version; the description states Android 8 and later support, with more features on Android 10 and later. SaverTuner requires the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission, granted through ADB or root access; root is optional. It changes system battery-saver configuration, and uninstalling the app does not restore the original settings. The default profile must be applied before uninstalling if the user wants to undo those changes. SaverTuner is intended for users who want more control over Android’s existing power-saving behavior and are comfortable configuring system-level settings.
