About Screen Slinger
Screen Slinger is a Windows screenshot and annotation tool for explaining what appears on a screen. Users can capture a region, with the selection suggesting the window or panel under the pointer, or use automatic scrolling capture to create a tall image of a long page. Scrolling capture detects sticky headers and stops at the bottom before stitching the result. Annotations include arrows, shapes, text, callouts, numbered steps, a spotlight, magnifier and stickers. Each annotation remains an editable object, and undo history is saved with the image so edits can be revisited later. For sensitive information, blur, pixelation and solid fill replace pixels in the exported image; suggested hides can identify email addresses and long numbers, and reusable templates support repeated redaction tasks. Text can be extracted with Windows OCR, depending on installed language packs. Screen Slinger runs locally without accounts or uploads, does not record video and has no cloud sharing. It is a self-contained Windows 10 and 11 application with an interface available in several languages.
