About Senior Launcher
Senior Launcher is a simplified Android home screen designed around large, direct choices for calling people or viewing images. The launcher displays contacts that have both a photo and a phone number as large buttons, using the first phone number on each contact. Tapping a contact starts a call or opens the messaging app to show images received by MMS. A separate image mode opens the gallery. An emergency call option is placed at the top of the call screen. The app supports English and German and is intended to make common phone actions easier to find without navigating through a standard launcher full of app icons. Senior Launcher registers as the device’s home-screen launcher and opens when the phone starts or the Home button is pressed. It uses the contact list to populate its call buttons, so the visible contacts depend on having a photo and phone number saved. The supplied description uses MMS as the route for opening recent shared images.
