About Show Articles in Map
Show Articles in Map adds a map-browsing option to apps that can share a geographic location or geo URI. When a location is shared to the app, it searches for nearby encyclopedia articles, travel guides, reference entries, or photographs and passes the results to a compatible map viewer. Map markers can show a short description, with a link to open the full article. The app works with a separate map viewer and can also send results to other compatible mapping apps. Its content search uses online data, so an internet connection is required to retrieve article information. The map viewer displays the results as bubbles or article icons, helping users explore points of interest near a selected location. Show Articles in Map is designed to connect location sharing with nearby reference content. It does not provide a map viewer by itself; its role is to retrieve location-related articles and pass them to an installed app that can display mapped results.
