SicMu Neo is a local music player designed for large libraries, especially collections organized into folders. It can group and browse songs by artist, album, or folder, search the library, and read audio metadata. Users can filter and edit star ratings, view album art, and zoom into artwork. The player supports a broad range of common formats, including MP3, Ogg, FLAC, and WAV. Playback controls include several shuffle and repeat modes, A-B looping, speed adjustment, and an optional shake-to-skip action. A sleep timer can stop music after a chosen interval. The app provides playback controls in a notification and supports scrobbling through compatible external apps. Per-output mono or stereo settings are available, and radio shuffle can start a randomly selected track at a random point. After a fresh installation, a media scan may need to be started from settings before the library appears. Album art can be loaded from image files in album folders. SicMu Neo is focused on local files rather than streaming, with a low-resource design for larger collections and several ways to organize and control playback.
