About Simple Search
Simple Search is an Android search bar app with a home-screen widget. Users type a query into the app and the search opens in the web browser. The search engine can be changed in settings, and users can enter a custom search string for a preferred provider or format. The app also saves a history of previous queries, making it possible to return to searches without typing them again. Its widget opens the app so users can start a search from the home screen. Simple Search is a lightweight interface for sending queries to a chosen search engine; it does not include its own browser or search index. The supplied description focuses on the search field, configurable engine, query history, and widget.
