About SimTradeDesk
SimTradeDesk is a desktop environment for developing, testing, and simulating financial trading strategies. It includes an editor with code completion and syntax highlighting for a compatible strategy API, plus backtesting against historical market data with streaming logs. A parameter optimizer can search strategy settings using walk-forward validation, which separates an optimization period from a later holdout period. Results include equity curves, drawdown charts, trade history, and key metrics, and users can compare backtests with aligned value curves and side-by-side metrics. The application also keeps strategy versions with differences and restore controls, and can export tables and charts as CSV and PNG. It has an integrated terminal for debugging and is listed for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The evidence describes simulation and testing functions; it does not guarantee investment performance.
